Ofer Porat
Principal
Ofer is a Director / Principal at the Elah Fund. In the past he held several management positions in the manufacturing industry. He recently served as COO at Filtersafe Ltd., a water filtration company that
mainly exported filtration systems to the ballast water market.
Previously he was the Head of the Industrial and Entrepreneurship division at Stef Wertheimer foundation. As part of this role, he led and managed industrial enterprises and factories in various fields: metalworking, mold-making, plastic injection, jewelry, textile, and water technologies and was a member of the board of directors of Zurim Association, and director at several companies of the Stef Wertheimer group.
When IMC/Iscar Group, a Berkshire Hathaway portfolio company acquired the Tungaloy company in Japan, Ofer moved to Tokyo and worked as Co-CFO of the company.
Ofer began his career as an economist and managed the Economic Department at Iscar Ltd. (IMC Group) for about eight years.
He holds a BA in Economics and Business from Haifa University.
